3,4-Difluorobenzoyl chloride is a fluorinated organic compound that has low bioavailability in humans. It also has antibacterial activity against faecalis and cancer cells. 3,4-Difluorobenzoyl chloride can be used as an organic solvent to replace nitro compounds such as nitromethane, which are carcinogenic. The molecule was modeled computationally using molecular modeling techniques and functional theory. The alkynyl group of the molecule interacts with the fluoro group on the aromatic ring to form a bond that is relatively long and strong. This interaction leads to a high degree of stereoisomerism in the molecule, with four different possible configurations for each monosubstituted benzoic acid derivative.
