2,6-Dichloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid is a nutrient solution that has been shown to increase the dry weight of plants. It has a potent inhibitory effect on bacterial enzyme activity in model systems and can be used as an alternative to antibiotics for the prevention of plant diseases. 2,6-Dichloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid is used to induce natural compounds from plants, which may be beneficial for human health. It also inhibits population growth by inducing natural compounds. This compound is naturally found in solanum tuberosum, but it is not active against wild type strains of bacteria.
