Descripción:3,4-Difluorosalicylic acid is a fluorinated salicylic acid derivative that has been shown to have anticancer activity. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) and the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). 3,4-Difluorosalicylic acid also inhibits the growth of cancer cell lines in vitro. 3,4-Difluorosalicylic acid is synthesized from salicylic acid by a high yield process using fluorous chemistry and a flow cytometer.
