2,5-Difluorotoluene is an organic compound that belongs to the class of polyethers. It is a colorless liquid with a mild, sweet odor. The phenyl rings are arranged in a symmetrical pattern that makes the molecule chiral. These two forms are called enantiomers. The differences in their physical properties can be seen when they are dissolved in polar solvents or nonpolar solvents. 2,5-Difluorotoluene is used as an intermediate for making other chemicals.
