Descripción:
3,4-Dihydroxy-5-methoxybenzoic acid is a natural phenolic compound found in many plants. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and can be used as a chemopreventive agent for cancer treatment. 3,4-Dihydroxy-5-methoxybenzoic acid is metabolized by the liver into 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid (3,4-DHPA), which is excreted in urine and feces. The bioavailability of 3,4-Dihydroxy-5-methoxybenzoic acid is low due to its low solubility in water and high reactivity with proteins.
