Dubione B is a potent anticancer agent that has been shown to have strong anti-tumor activity in human lung and liver cancer cells. The drug was also found to be efficient against lymphocytic leukemia cells. Dubione B has a low toxicity for healthy cells, which is caused by its low absorption rate in the body and its short elimination half-life. It can be used as a single agent or in combination with other chemotherapeutic agents. Dubione B is mostly eliminated via the kidneys, with less than 5% being eliminated through the liver. Its pharmacokinetic properties have been studied in plasma samples from patients with cancer and lymphocytic leukemia.
