Información del producto
- 2-Thiazolamine,4,5-dimethyl-
- 4,5-Dimethyl-1,3-thiazol-2-amine
4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-amine is a yellow solid that is soluble in water, ethanol and cyclohexanol. It has bacteriostatic activity against a wide range of bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium avium complex and Legionella pneumophila. The compound also shows cytotoxic activity against human cancer cells. 4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-amine binds to the adenosine A1 receptor and inhibits the binding of adenosine to this receptor. This binding prevents activation of the phosphodiesterase enzyme, which leads to an increase in intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). When added to erythrocytes from humans or animals, 4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-amine causes hemolysis by cleaving
