2,6-Dinitro-4-fluorophenol (DNFP) is a chemical compound that has been shown to uniquely alter parameters such as frequency, deformation and ortho/para ratio. The correlation between these parameters can be found by studying the effect of DNFP on phenols. When the ortho and para positions are both occupied by phenols, intramolecularly, then DNFP will become more reactive because it can react with both positions. This reaction does not occur with phenols in the meta position.
