Dimethyl Hexadecafluorosebacate is a fluorine-containing alkali metal compound that has been shown to be reactive with fatty acids. This reaction may lead to the formation of a cancer-causing substance. Dimethyl Hexadecafluorosebacate also has been shown to be an active substance in pharmaceutical formulations that are used for the treatment of amines, or molecules containing nitrogen and hydrogen, which are found in enzymes involved in the inflammatory response. The diameter and constant of this molecule are not yet known.
