3,4-Diaminophenyl)(4-fluorophenyl)methanone is a type of catalytic hydrogenation catalyst that is used in the industrial production of polymers. This compound may be used to clean up pollution by catalytically reducing organic pollutants. 3,4-Diaminophenyl)(4-fluorophenyl)methanone also has a ketone group and may be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. This compound has been shown to have excellent catalytic properties in the hydrogenation of alkenes and alkynes with raney nickel or other metal catalysts.
