Flecainide is also an antiarrhythmic drug that can be used for treating cardiac arrhythmias. 1,4-Di(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)benzene has been shown to have a high yield during alkylation reactions and it reacts with cuprous ions to form a complex that can be easily isolated. This compound also reacts with trifluoroethanol in alkaline conditions to form 1,4-di(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)benzene oxide.
