2',5,6',7-Tetraacetoxyflavanone is a natural compound isolated from plant leaves. It is a secondary metabolite and bioactive that has been used as a reference material for HPLC standards. 2',5,6',7-Tetraacetoxyflavanone has been shown to inhibit the production of nitric oxide and prostaglandins in macrophages by inhibiting protein synthesis. 2',5,6',7-Tetraacetoxyflavanone also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as an antioxidant.
2',5,6',7-Tetraacetoxyflavanone is a secondary metabolite found in plants such as Nepeta cataria. It is the most abundant phenolic compound in this species of plant with a concentration of about 0.4%. This compound can be extracted from the leaves of Nepeta cataria using methanol or ethanol distillation after which it can be purified
