Descripción:Semax is a synthetic analogue of the natural neurotrophic factor, Semaphorin 3A. It is a signal protein that regulates the development and plasticity of the nervous system. Semax has been shown to induce neuronal death in experimental models. Semax also has a number of biological properties, including the ability to stimulate brain functions and increase locomotor activity. Semax also induces expression of neurotrophic factors such as nerve growth factor (NGF) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). The 6-fluoro-3-indoxyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside is an antituberculosis drug that belongs to the class of rifamycins. Rifapentine inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication.
