• Descripción: Emiglitate is a postprandial plasma enzyme inhibitor that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on pancreatic enzymes. It is used as an antidiabetic agent and has been shown in clinical trials to be effective in controlling the blood glucose levels of diabetic patients. Emiglitate inhibits the activity of guanylate cyclase, which is involved in the synthesis of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).
