Información del producto
Ethyl 4-amino-3-(aminocarbonyl)isothiazole-5-carboxylate (E4AIC) is a lead molecule for the development of an efflux pump inhibitor. This compound was designed to inhibit the function of the efflux pump by binding to its protein target. E4AIC has been shown to be active against bacterial Gyrase and Thermus thermophilus, which are two enzymes that regulate DNA topology. The use of E4AIC in combination with other antibiotics has also been shown to increase the efficacy of these drugs against bacteria. This drug inhibits bacterial growth by preventing the uptake of nutrients, as well as by inhibiting DNA replication and transcription.
