Estenia opaque primer is a zirconia-based composite material that can be used as an adhesive to bond to tooth structure. The material provides a hard surface that resists wear and abrasion. It also has the ability to resist demineralization due to its high acid resistance. Estenia opaque primer is applied on the tooth surface prior to bonding with a resin cement or adhesive. This product has shown clinical relevance in studies of structural analysis, thermodynamic data, and collagen adhesives. It has been found to have significant interactions with light exposure and hydroxyapatite, which are both important for dentine bonding strength.
