Descripción:Ethyl 2-oxohexanoate is a reactive, organic solvent that is used in the production of polymeric matrix for implants. It has been shown to enhance the activity of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and vinyl alcohol in animal studies. Ethyl 2-oxohexanoate exhibits antibacterial properties against P. aeruginosa under constant temperature and water vapor conditions. This compound also has a viscosity similar to human plasma, which could be beneficial in the development of new surgical treatments for vitreous detachment, such as a vitrectomy. Covid-19 is an influenza pandemic that emerged during the 2009 flu pandemic. Covid-19 is resistant to oseltamivir and zanamivir, but not gatifloxacin or ethyl 2-oxohexanoate.
