Información del producto
- Benzenesulfonamide, 4-ethynyl- (9CI)
- 2-Chloro-3-Nitro-Pyridin-4-Amine
4-Ethynybenzenesulfonamide is a cox-2 inhibitor that binds to the extracellular domain of cox-2, an enzyme involved in prostaglandin synthesis. This binding inhibits the activity of cox-2 by preventing the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. 4-Ethynybenzenesulfonamide has been shown to selectively inhibit cancer cell growth and inhibit anhydrase, which is responsible for regulating cellular pH. It also binds to albumin in blood and has a high lipophilicity.
