Descripción:N-Ethyl-o(or p)-toluene sulfonylamide is a mutagenic chemical that causes the formation of revertants in Salmonella typhimurium. It also has a mutagenic effect on the bacterial strain TA100, which is sensitive to acetaldehyde. The potency of this agent is comparable to that of acetaldehyde oxime. N-Ethyl-o(or p)-toluene sulfonylamide is used as a screening tool for the detection of mutagens. It has been shown to be active against Salmonella typhimurium strain TA100, which is sensitive to acetaldehyde.
