3-(N-Ethylsulfamoyl)benzoic acid is an inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases. It has been shown to inhibit cell growth in cancer cells and to induce apoptosis, which may be due to inhibition of the activity of cycline and chloride ion channels. 3-(N-Ethylsulfamoyl)benzoic acid also inhibits the activity of amines such as nitro groups and hydrogen bond formation, which are important for protein synthesis. 3-(N-Ethylsulfamoyl)benzoic acid is a white powder that is soluble in chloroform, chlorides, nitro compounds, and organic solvents.
