Descripción:2-Ethylaziridine is a carbonyl compound that is known to be carcinogenic in animals. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of influenza virus and can cause cancer in laboratory animals. 2-Ethylaziridine is also able to inhibit the growth of cells in culture, which may be due to its ability to react with fatty alcohols. These reactions produce a variety of products, including polycarboxylic acids, chromatographic science, and hydroxy group compounds. The aromatic hydrocarbon moiety may also contribute to the inhibition of fatty acid synthase activity and cellular proliferation. 2-Ethylaziridine has been shown to have antiviral properties against influenza virus strains A/PR/8/34 (H1N1) and A/WSN/1933 (H1N2).
