Descripción:1,2-Epoxy-1-methylcyclohexane is a nucleophile that is useful for the synthesis of epoxides. It is a bifunctional compound that can be used as an asymmetric synthesis catalyst. 1,2-Epoxy-1-methylcyclohexane has been shown to react with urea derivatives to form epoxides through reductive elimination. This reaction also produces cyclopentene oxide as a byproduct.
