Descripción

S-EDDP is a dihydropyridine derivative and is used as an analgesic. It has an activity of 10,000 times that of morphine and is used for the treatment of severe pain. S-EDDP interacts with heparin, which is a blood coagulant, and can increase the risk of bleeding. This compound also has a molecular weight of 400 g/mol and can be found in wastewater samples. The molecular structure of this drug contains nitrogen atoms, hydroxyl groups, and methadone interactions. S-EDDP is metabolized by humans into metabolites such as 5-(2-carboxyphenyl) pyridine (5CPP). The pharmacokinetics of S-EDDP are complicated because it undergoes extensive enterohepatic circulation in the body. To study the pharmacokinetics of this drug, a sample preparation method must be used to isolate its metabolites from water or serum samples.
