Descripción:Ethyl methyl disulphide is a chemical compound with the formula CH3CH2S. It is an organic compound that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds, such as sodium sulfide. Ethyl methyl disulphide has been shown to react with soybean extract to form reaction products. The reaction product has been characterized using a model system and was found to be chromatographically active. It also exhibits vibrational absorption bands at 1710 cm-1 and 2900 cm-1, which are due to the presence of a hydroxy group on one end of the molecule.
