(Ethyl)triphenylphosphonium chloride is an amide with a molecule weight of 304.3 g/mol. It has been used as a coating material for the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions such as atherosclerosis, diabetes, and hypertension. This molecule can be coordinated in two geometries: cis-diaxial and trans-diaxial. In the cis-diaxial geometry, the hydroxy group and hydrocarbon chain are on opposite sides of the central phosphorus atom.
