Ethyl 2-amino-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylate is a chemical compound that has been shown to have potent antibacterial activity against human pathogens such as staphylococcus, candida glabrata, and carbonyl group. It also has anticancer activity in vitro. The molecular modeling results suggest that the hydrogen bond between the nitrogen atom and the carbonyl group plays an important role in its antibacterial activity. Sodium carbonate is used to dissolve ethyl 2-amino-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylate and make it suitable for injection.
