Ethyl diethoxyphosphinylformate is an organophosphorus compound that is synthesized by the reaction of ethyl chloroformate and phosphorus pentachloride. It is a carboxylate with a phosphorus pentachloride, carbonyl group, fluorine, and sodium hydroxide solution. This compound has been used in cell culture experiments to study the effects of phosphorylation on protein synthesis. Ethyl diethoxyphosphinylformate has also been used as a chelating agent for metal ions in nonaqueous reactions.
