Descripción:Ethynodiol diacetate is a progestogen, which is used as a contraceptive. It has been shown to be genotoxic and increase the incidence of benign breast disease in women who take it for longer than 1 year. Ethynodiol diacetate is also used as a diagnostic agent to differentiate between hydroxylated and non-hydroxylated estrogens. It has been shown to have an antihypertensive effect on diastolic pressure.
