4-Ethylaniline is an aromatic compound with a benzene ring and two ethyl groups. It is not soluble in water, but is soluble in polar organic solvents such as alcohols and ethers. 4-Ethylaniline has been shown to have high thermal stability, which can be attributed to the fact that it contains nitrogen atoms. This property makes it ideal for use in biological studies involving living cells. The covalent linkages between the molecules of 4-ethylaniline allow for hydrogen bonding, which allows them to form stable complexes with other molecules containing amines. This property has been used in sample preparation techniques involving amines in order to separate them from other compounds.
