ETK has been shown to inhibit cell growth and physiological function, which may be due to its ability to react with plasma proteins, such as polysorbate. ETK is also an anti-inflammatory agent and has shown activity against infectious diseases. ETK inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines by interfering with the synthesis of arachidonic acid, which is an important precursor for these molecules.
