Descripción:Euphorbiasteroid is a natural product that is produced by the Euphorbiae plant. It has been shown to have anti-HIV activity in vitro. Euphorbiasteroid inhibits HIV infection by inhibiting the synthesis of viral proteins and decreasing the number of HIV particles in culture. This compound also prevents HIV from entering cells, which induces apoptotic signaling pathways. Euphorbiasteroid is also able to inhibit tumor growth in sarcoma cell cultures, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis or fatty acid production. This compound has been shown to be an effective treatment for lathyrism and can be used as an anti-inflammatory medicine for diseases such as arthritis.
