5-Ethynyl-1,2,3-Trifluoro-Benzene is a photoelectron spectroscopy study of 5-ethynyl-1,2,3-trifluoro-benzene (ETBF) and its monolayer. The molecular modeling and structural analysis of ETBF were performed using the Gaussian 09 package. Kinetic studies were conducted to determine the rate constants for ETBF oxidation in alkaline solution. Dipole moment calculations were also calculated using Gaussian 09 to determine the dipole moment of ETBF. Photoelectrochemical measurements were performed to investigate the electron transfer reactions between ETBF and a gold electrode. Galectin binding was investigated by means of microscopy and nucleophile reactivity was studied using kinetic methods.
