4-Hydroxy-1,4a-dimethyl-7-prop-1-en-2-yl-3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydronaphthalen-2-one (HNDN) is a natural compound that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It is more potent than other flavonoids and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vitro. HNDN has also been found to have anti diabetic properties in vivo. The molecular structure of HNDN was determined by XRD and NMR spectroscopic data analysis. The crystal structure was solved by XRD and FTIR spectroscopic data analysis. HNDN is metabolized through 4 hydroxybenzoic acid formation in the liver and kidney.
