Descripción:
Ethyl 2-((5-bromo-3-nitropyridin-2-yl)oxy)acetate is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the class of bicyclic compounds. This compound inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA gyrase, preventing DNA replication and transcription. It also binds to bacterial topoisomerase IV, inhibiting protein synthesis. Ethyl 2-((5-bromo-3-nitropyridin-2-yl)oxy)acetate has been shown to be active against a wide range of bacteria, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus anthracis and Enterococcus faecalis.
