Información del producto
2-Cyclohexylethylboronic acid is a hydrophobic, aromatic compound that has binding properties. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme boronic acid reductase, which catalyzes the conversion of boronic acids to alcohols in the presence of NADH. 2-Cyclohexylethylboronic acid binds to borinic acid in the active site, preventing substrate from entering and reducing the activity of this enzyme. 2-Cyclohexylethylboronic acid has been shown to inhibit subtilisin, an enzyme that degrades proteins in food products such as bread dough and cheese curds. Substituents on its aromatic rings affect its binding properties.
