Descripción:2-Furoyl chloride is a fatty acid chloride that is produced by the reaction of 2-furoic acid with hydrogen chloride. This chemical has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemic cells in vitro. It is believed to function by inhibiting protein synthesis and lipid synthesis, which may lead to cell death. 2-Furoyl chloride has also been found to inhibit the activity of other enzymes such as kinases and phosphatases. The kinetic properties of this chemical have been studied using a kinetic method based on coumarin derivatives.
