Descripción:2-Furoic acid hydrazide is an antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of cell membrane lipids by inhibiting the enzyme enoyl-ACP reductase. This compound has been shown to be effective against Candida albicans in vitro and in vivo. 2-Furoic acid hydrazide may also have amoebicidal activity, although this has not yet been confirmed. The mechanism of action of 2-furoic acid hydrazide is currently unknown, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit adenosine receptor antagonists and its interaction with hydrogen bonding interactions.
