Descripción:3-Furoic acid is a furanic acid that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. It can be synthesized by the Friedel-Crafts reaction of benzene and malonic acid with a magnesium salt in liquid chromatography. 3-Furoic acid can be analyzed by NMR spectroscopy, which will show the presence of amines and proton signals. The magnetic resonance spectroscopy will show the presence of hydrogen bonds and furanic groups. 3-Furoic acid has been shown to have locomotor activity in mice, which may be due to its ability to bind to 5-HT2A receptors. This compound also binds to methyl anthranilate and fluorine, which may contribute to its pharmacological effects.
