2-[4-[4-(4-Fluorophenyl)Piperazin-1-Yl]Butyl]-1-(4-Methoxyphenyl)Indazol-3-One is a hydrophobic, targetable, reconstituted drug. It is not soluble in water. The drug is iontophoretically injected into the circumferential region of the prostate gland and then remains in place for up to 12 hours. This drug has been used as a diagnostic tool for prostate cancer. The nitrate salt of 2-[4-[4-(4-Fluorophenyl)Piperazin-1-Yl]Butyl]-1-(4-Methoxyphenyl)Indazol-3-One may be used as a diluent for devices that are implanted or injected. This drug binds to monolayers at high concentrations and can be used for diagnostic purposes.
