• Descripción: 4-Fluorophenylhydrazine is a synthetic drug that has been shown to have antifungal activity in vitro. It is effective against a wide range of fungi, including Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus fumigatus. 4-Fluorophenylhydrazine inhibits the growth of tumour cells by binding to cellular macromolecules such as RNA and DNA. This binding prevents the synthesis of proteins needed for cell division. The drug also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting caspase-2, which is an enzyme involved in the production of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid. 4-Fluorophenylhydrazine has been shown to be active against tuberculosis bacteria. It binds to the mycobacterial 16S ribosomal RNA and inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division. 4-
