Descripción:Talazoparib is a small-molecule inhibitor of DNA methyltransferases (DMTs) and is currently being investigated for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. DMTs are enzymes that catalyze the transfer of methyl groups to the cytosine in DNA, which leads to changes in gene expression. Talazoparib has been shown to inhibit DMT1, DMT3, and DMT4 in vitro studies and was found to be minimally toxic to cultured cells and animals. This drug also exhibits anti-cancer activity by inhibiting mitochondrial membrane potential, which may lead to cell death via apoptosis or necrosis.
