6-Fluoro-1H-quinazolin-4-one is an organic compound that is synthesized by the reaction of 2,6-dichloroaniline with 3,5-dimethoxybenzoyl chloride. This product has been shown to be thermally stable and can be used in catalysis. 6FQN has a high affinity for unactivated receptors, which are located at the nucleus. 6FQN has also been shown to have strong affinity for atropisomeric receptors and to antagonize their effects. The synthesis of this product was optimized by varying the position of the fluorine atom on the aromatic ring. 6FQN is also a receptor antagonist and can be used as an anticonvulsant or an analgesic agent.
