Información del producto
(3-fluoro-2-formylphenyl)boronic acid is an antifungal drug that is used as a postulated, dilution method. It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol in fungi by competing with other compounds for oxidation at the C5 position. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of toxic sterols and cell death. (3-fluoro-2-formylphenyl)boronic acid is also a tautomerically active compound, which means that it can exist in two different forms: one with the carbonyl group on the alpha carbon and one with the carbonyl group on the beta carbon. The nmr spectra show that this compound exists in both forms, highlighting its chemical reactivity.
