Descripción:FA-Gly-OH is a molecule that is biosynthesized by the bacterium Faecalis. It has been shown to be effective against Streptococcus faecalis, which is a Gram-positive bacterium that can cause inflammation and infection of the mouth, throat, skin, and urinary tract. FA-Gly-OH binds to metal ions such as Cu2+, Mn2+, and Fe3+ and inhibits bacterial growth. The molecule also has an optimum pH of 5.5 and is conjugated to fatty acids through an ester linkage. The synthesis of FA-Gly-OH can be monitored using magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) due to its paramagnetic properties.
