Descripción:FA-Phe-OH is a small protein that has been shown to bind to the cancer antigen, CA 125. This binding can be blocked by antibodies raised against FA-Phe-OH. The ability of FA-Phe-OH to bind to CA 125 may allow it to be used as a marker for colorectal cancer and other cancers. Furthermore, FA-Phe-OH has been shown to inhibit the growth of colon adenomatous polyps in mice and rats, suggesting that it may have therapeutic potential.
