Descripción:Fluorescamine is a chemical compound that can be used to oxidize proteins. It reacts with the amino groups in protein molecules, which leads to the formation of a fluorescent product. Fluorescamine is used in protein assays, where it is applied to a gel or other matrix and then analyzed by chromatography. It has been shown that the optimal concentration for fluorescamine is 10 mM, and that it should not be used at concentrations over 50 mM because this may lead to the formation of dimers.
