It is also known to increase the production of basic proteins and cytosolic calcium. This agent has been shown to have anti-migraine effects and may be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. 1-[Bis(4-Fluorophenyl)methyl]-4-[(2,3,4-trimethoxyphenyl)methyl]piperazine can be synthesized with the use of trifluoroacetic acid as a solvent. The synthesis requires a sample preparation step before it can be purified by recrystallization or column chromatography.
