Descripción

Fucosterol is a natural compound that has been shown to have inhibitory properties on cell growth in colorectal adenocarcinoma cells. Fucosterol inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential, which is necessary for cell proliferation. Fucosterol also inhibits 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and reduces the production of insulin-like growth factor-β1 (IGF-β1). It has been found that fucosterol can inhibit the LPS-induced inflammatory response in HL-60 cells.
