Descripción:
1,1'-Ferrocenedimethanol is a polymer that can be used as a viscosity modifier. It is characterized by constant viscosity and good transport properties. 1,1'-Ferrocenedimethanol has been shown to have an acidic pH, which may be due to the presence of ferrocene. Ferrocene is an aromatic hydrocarbon, and its presence in 1,1'-ferrocenedimethanol may account for its acidic nature. The polymer has been shown to bind cationic probes such as fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and tetramethylrhodamine B isothiocyanate (TRITC), making it useful in analytical chemistry. Furthermore, it has been successfully used in the fabrication of polymer films with magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
