Descripción

2-(2-Furyl)-3-(5-nitro-2-furyl)acrylamide is a hydroxyanisole that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of certain bacteria. It has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the growth of typhimurium and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but not against C. aurantium or C. albicans. This compound has been shown to be able to reduce the number of micronuclei in CD1 mice after administration at an effective dose, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis in cells.
